About Me

Ms. Jessica H. Eaton

Hello!

I'm thrilled to begin working with your children in the wonderful (yet confounding) subject of math! I graduated from the University of Minnesota from the College of Education and Human Development, specializing in teaching Mathematics. My true goal is to get to know each and everyone of you children's needs so that they may get to where they need to be in today's math oriented world. I myself am not a mathematical genius, but still appreciate and love the universal beauty about the subject and I hope to share some of these interests with the class.

A little bit more about my background:

  • Before I went to Minnesota for college, I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. When I was a wee girl of 7 years old, my appreciation and love for teaching began. I had an amazing 1st and 2nd grade teacher named Ms. Fain. She always prompted us to explore, touch and experiment with everything we learned. Exploring is one of the key principles to my philosophy of teaching, and I took this away from all teachers like Ms. Fain and I'm extremely excited for our class to explore new ideas in our time together.
  • I hope to become closer with each and everyone of you so that we can create the best educational environment possible for your child. Please feel free to contact me any time either through posting on this blog or through e-mail (posted on the bottom). I can't tell you how much any teacher appreciates parents being actively involved in their child's education, and the immense importance that involvement contains for a student so young. Thank you for reading this, I hope you will find this form of communication as helpful and exciting as I do!

Sincerely,

Jessica Eaton
